Bethany embarked on her accounting career after graduating from the University of Oregon with a Bachelor of Science in Accounting. She started as a payroll clerk at a commercial painting company, where she gradually advanced to roles in accounts payable and payroll over five years.

Seeking new challenges, she transitioned to a manufacturing company, where she handled full-cycle bookkeeping and payroll in-house. Her dedication led her to assume the role of acting controller before she decided to pivot to the nonprofit sector, focusing on payroll and international finance for another five years.

Taking a sabbatical in 2016 prompted Bethany's move to Washington, where she became the controller and head of accounting and administration for a mid-sized manufacturing company. During this time, the idea for Fairwinds Bookkeeping took shape.

Over the next eight years, Bethany meticulously built Fairwinds Bookkeeping, offering comprehensive bookkeeping and controller-level analytics to small businesses, including non-profits, artists, construction, and real estate ventures.

Today, Fairwinds Bookkeeping stands as a testament to Bethany's dedication and expertise in the field.
